Do you guys just suck at the game or something? In my playthrough I just caught whatever I came across and liked. Ended up with a bunch of garbage natured shitmons. I still never lost a single battle though in the game, and yeah I obviously had all the easymodo cheese shit like EXP Share off. I know I'll get a bunch of asshurt people shitting on me for asking, but it is a genuine question of mine. Like fuck, my underleved Arcanine was enough for almost every battle in the game. Do you guys just purposefully let yourselves get underleved by like 15-20 levels? I honestly can't fathom how anyone could struggle in any battle otherwise.
