The more adventure-y, less battle heavy episodes are more to my liking. Its a very safe show to sit down and watch and not regret having done so afterward, so in some ways I do enjoy it.

This reboot should've been done forever ago, but they have to keep Pikachu around, I guess? I'm looking forward to seeing how Ash gets screwed out of winning the league this time around. If they play it at all like the games are setup, then Ash is either going to lose to Hau or... to Kukui? I really find it hard to see either of those happening but deep down I know he'll fail to become Alola's first champion.
