Personally, I would want them to either straight up make one game that's a remake of Platinum, or remake both games but incorporate elements of Platinum the same way HGSS did with Crystal. That means the expanded Sinnoh Dex, the Looker and Charon plots, and type specialists actually having Pokemon of their type. Throw in the Battle Frontier, Move Tutors, maybe tie in the Ultra Beasts or Type: Null into some postgame plot (as the Ultra Beasts, like Giratina, have to do with alternate dimensions, while Type: Null and Silvally has a connection to Arceus) and I'd be set.
What would I EXPECT? A remake of Diamond and Pearl, shitty teams, horrible PokeDex and all. Battle Tower is just a reskinned Tree, complete with the exact same characters that show up.
