Thanks to idiocy like braixen getting to run rampant with Support calls and cancels, and Blaziken being a literal 'mash-to-win' character, plus the fact that pretty much everything is safe on block (with the glaring exception of everything Mewtwo does), I'd say it died because its balance is utter shit.
