I'd go with OG Ash as he was the most relatable in my opinion, a lovable idiot whose moments of brilliancy brought actual hype. [See: Ash vs. Gary, The Day Blastoise Never Walked Again.] That was until he grew into the bland, battle-horny robot he was in XY.
