I think he's cute. I love the idea of crossgen evolutions and love them all. Unless they're branched, like Bellossom or Gallade, thoae are just ok for me.

The red makes it stand out from Aipom, and it emphasizes the hands on its tails as the most eyecatching, as well as most important, feature in the design.
Aipom's fingers are divided into two parts: normal digits and the circular end digit. Ambipom's fingers are realistically shaped, but still keeps this divide in place.
Fingers are rosier toward the end, and making Ambipom's fingers reflect this adds to their more realistic nature.

He is one of my 3 favorite pokemon

when i played online in X and Y using my fake out ambipom was always fun

he even managed to do some kinda cool but very stuational stuff like using Thunder Wave to heal my jolteon in doubles , he is great

Wonderful lead in gen 4, and still nice in non-7 gens in situations where team preview doesn't exist.

Team preview killed Ambipom's main niche, competition from Mienshao and now other speedy uturn/parting shot mons sealed its coffin, and losing Low Speed buried poor Ambipom.

I hate it.
It's the only 4th gen evolution I can't really stand.
People complain about Probopass and Rhyperior but those look "meh" at worse. This thing just looks plain hideous. Not to mention it's fucking worthless in battle.

I just realized that Ambipom have speed of 115, pretty much outspeed Gen 7 Pokemon beside legendary ones. Even its attack of 100 with Technician could hit well.
And I also found out that in Gen 7, Ambipom can learn dual chop.

I use this set and sometimes you can pull out a sweep if the opponent does not have something that don't resist your limited coverage. Even if it do, you can still do great damage to them at +2, 6hits beat up.
