>>31027596The thing is in Showdown specifically people never say it after they win unless it's a tournament or something. Most of the time I see people say GG when they set up their sweeper or are about to KO the last 2 pokemon you have or something. The game basically is over at that point but it still seems like poor form.
Maybe it's because I come from a Starcraft background but the general rule is that you only say GG if it was a really good game or else it seems insincere, and it's preferable if the loser says GG first because he's acknowledging the loss and accepting it, while the winner saying GG first seems like boasting. And you never say GG unless the game has actually ended.
Personally I really don't give a fuck. If someone says GG or GL I'll return it but I don't go out of my way. And 90% of people never fucking say it so I have no idea what this "it's a rule" shit is.
