FTFY. Nintendo is no different, just a little better than Sony and Microsoft. My GOTY 2014 was Bayonetta 2 and my GOTY 2015 was Xenoblade Chronicles X.

Honestly this year it'll be Sun and Moon since nothing else worth a shit came out this year.

I had a giggle. Nintendo games have sucked since Wii and are steadily going downhill since, relying on poor third party to keep afloat. Meanwhile PS4 and even Xbone have been keeping this gen alive and well.

Factually incorrect. This generation of consoles has only sold 60% of what the last generation of consoles did and it's plateauing.

Also the PS4 and Xbone are just watered down PCs.

Vidya is shit all around right now, for different reasons on every system. Honestly was 3DS is probably the only solid system this generation.

By allowing third parties to run amok and produce extremely low quality games that make even atari games look like masterpieces that only sell on hype alone?

Yeah they drove things into the ground due to their involvement in the last two gens. In particular the ps2 and 3 because they were a nightmare to develop for. In the case of the former many deva thought their hassle will pay off because the system was so popular, unfortunately that didn't turn out so well and the smaller companies died out. The Xbox did relatively well for itself except for the handful of developers that had to rush out ports like that True Crime port.
Then came the HD era.
Development wasn't cheap and again we lost some devs. The PS3 was also poison to just about anything.

Now in the modern day devs are afraid to take risks because it's extremely easy for then to lose everything because of the AAA price so we're left with a stagnant industry kept alive by casuals and hype culture.
