Even if it is annoying, the Poké Radar has 1/200 Shiny rate when is 40+ chaining, which is better than 1/512 of Friend Safari, DexNav, and Masuda Method.

Now, a feature that must be removed is Global Link, in Gen V it allowed you to plant berries or receive Pokémon with HAs, but since Gen VI it only tracks online activities. At least on Gen VI you could also buy items, play mini-games, and seeing Medals.

Sky battles
Friendship evolutions
Location evolutions
Stone/item evolutions where there's only one of the stone/item in the game
Hold items that "boost" the power of X type moves Mystic Water, Silk Scarf, etc. NOT the gems
Gyms
Overworld puzzles
Random NPCs handing you rare items for no reason
Hard-to-access items that wind up being a shitty consumable
Unrewarding postgame adventures that could have just as easily passed off as mid/late-game sidequests
Routes having tons of different pokemon available, but three of them have such a drastically high encounter rate that it seems like there are only those three pokemon available
