gen 4 was the most comfy time to play competitive. there was something fun about not knowing what your opponent was going to whip out and you could make a bunch of creative plays.

Battles are 3v3 for singles or 4v4 for doubles, so Team Preview doesn't tell you what you're facing, it tells you what you MIGHT be facing.

Yes there was, all of the console Pokemon games (Stadium, Colosseum/XD, Battle Revolution) had Team Preview.
