>>31064629Because it looks like there was hand-crafted work put into the animation frames, like each is an actual illustration, and not just a 2D stock model they can digitally paste over backgrounds and barely move at all. If it's not animated, why wouldn't I just read a comic??
I hated the anime since Advanced Generation simply because it all looked so digitally animated and cookie cutter, as opposed to Kanto/Johto where they used animation cels and changed the face models a lot for animation gags or emphasis. The anime felt flat for over ten years, bruh.
