The real problem is, that Guzma himself reveals nothing about him. The reason why he isn't "ma boy" anymore is because, he only talks about power and violence, for what his Team is already perfect, but he just abandons them.
Team Skull was supposed to be a community, hood and family of hurt people!
If he showed any "as a child suffering" side of Guzma, I would understand him, unlike what we got. But for me he is just a betrayer, who left his people behind, though they gave their best to find him.
