>>31081870-They got rid of super training and that basically removed any interest I had in participating in post game. It was amazing having so much direct, manual, control over the growth and distribution of my Pokemons EVS.
-The customization is still really lacking and one-sided: NPC's can still wear all sorts of interesting and wacky anime clothes, but you the PC are still restricted to normie attire. Boys only have like 4-5 hairstyles and there's no crossdressing, even going so far as to make odd clothing restrictions- why can't boys wear chicken hats?
In an ideal world a PC would be able to wear ANYTHING they've seen an npc trainer class wear- this should also extend to hairstyles.
-Fuck Festival plaza.
-There's no National Dex and once you complete the elite 4 and become champion: there are no additional pokemon to catch.
-There is no Safari zone, Friend Safari, or anything similar to that. I thought FOR SURE that, that Fossil Reviver guy was going to be this regions "safari zone" equiviliant and that his Fossil Pokemon Park would be finished by the time I was champion allowing me to catch exotic pokemon.
Imagine my disappointment when he amounts to nothing.
-The final island feels like it was done last minute: a lot of NPC's dialogue doesn't update (Hapu's grandmother's text doesn't change ever; she keeps telling you to go follow Hapu into the ruins even when Hapu is literally in the living room) and Mina literally doesn't even have a trial prepared- you don't even fight her 'till post game.
Nanu also kind of suffers the same lack of exposure and really the islands feel progressively less "worked"- with the very first island feeling like it has the most shine/polish.
-For that matter: The personal quests done with/for the Trial captains never amount to anything or have satisfying endings. We never actually get a "full strength" rematch with most of them. I would have LOVED to see more Ilima: full strength Ilima, Ilima dates, 5 more Ilima dates.
