What opponents would you add to Title Defense?

First one for me would be Burnett. She has Midnight Lycanroc, starter weak to yours, Alola Sandslash, Probopass, Mandibuzz and Beware.

Technically, Hau choose his starter before you got moved to Alola. And we can't confirm if the starter that Kukui uses is the same that you didn't chose.

Burnet should definitely have an HA Musharna (or Hypno) and maybe even a Therian Landorus though

The battle tree cameos should be able to show up as challengers as well, and should give you their respective mega stones when defeated

Samson Oak, just so he actually does something relevant.

He would use Exeggutor, Muk, Sandslash, Marowak, and Raichu, all Alolan forms.

Fossils, Hitmons and Togepi are gift Pokemon in FRLG. Hypno from the Sevii Isle sidequest, Umbreon as a counterpart to Reds Espeon in GSC and Venasaur because I couldn't think of anything else.

Misty. There was a lot of dialog in FRLG and HGSS that she wanted to tour the world. Meant as a nod towards her role in the anime, but the game universe could deliver on it as well by having her start her world tour by visiting Alola.

Leaf. Considering that female tourist was originally going to be Leaf, it wouldn't be too hard to do a simple edit and throw her into the game too. Dialog could refer to being a World Champion after the PWT and make those events definitively canon since /vp/ thinks they're not (idk why). She could have 'unusual' Kanto Pokémon that haven't gotten a lot of love over the years, e.g. leading with an Impostor Ditto.

Silver. Most people from Johto are actually quite happy where they are, and cameos like Jasmine in Sinnoh actually are a little out of character for her. Silver would most want a clean break from the past (and dialogue could even allude to a healthier approach to things than Team Skull's total rejection of tradition).

Darach. After Caitlin mostly peaces out on him to Unova, he finds himself with a lot of free time. Challenging trainers in Unova and Alola is what he does to kill time.

Inver. A sudden inverse battle for a title defense would be an actual challenge. I know I'd get fucked up if I came at Inver with an equal-level team because I never got the hang of these battles.

The soundtrack is amazing. Everything I've seen of the game itself looks uninteresting.

I railed hard on RS as a kid for not including a lot of older Pokemon from previous games. I don't follow why BWB2W2 do the same thing, and then just after the fact stuff the region with an unmanageable amount of Pokemon. They haven't handled this well in any game, but you have to give ORAS credit for the DexNav.
