Can still finish Lillie's story but not make her the main focus of the game like she was last game, being the main focus of 2 games is a bit too much
With a sequel taking place in Alola, you can also expand on what the fuck Necrozma is, have more alola forms of pokemon, and expand on Ultra beasts, plus maybe gyms could make a return and they could have some sort of gym/trials hybrid or something like that
You could even play as the same protag from the first games to meet new people AND revisit old people from the 1st game, but this is unlikely
