>>31092946I used to name all my Pokemon, usually really stupid shit like "Bubbles" or naming Pokemon after certain video game characters, but now I only name my starters. Consider it one part "I don't know what I'm going to name all these Pokemon I catch and may end up ditching"/"I can't think of a good nickname for all of you" and one part "you (starter) and me are going to be best pals and this nickname is a sign of that".
I can only remember a few of the nicknames I gave to my Pokemon back in the day but I can only image I'd cringe a little bit if I booted one of the games up and looked at the nicknames again.
