Besides, pokémon doesn't quite strike me as a fully appropriate game for competitive play given how much you need to twink the game (endless breeding) and how you need to houserule it into oblivion or else someone will scream (that SMOGON thing).
It's a bit like Smash Tourneys I guess, except not as autistic.
