Kukui doesn't actually say that he lost to Lance, just that he faced him. Presumably he did lose, but I suppose it's possible that he beat him but turned down staying on as Champion.

We don't know that for sure; presumably you can turn down staying on as Champion and leave the current champion in place, as every player character prior to SM seems to have done. Or, maybe Kukui fought Lance after Blue, when Lance had apparently reclaimed the position.

Do we know how long ago Kukui was a trainer? I mean, the references to the Kanto league, him being a full professor... It's possible he was a trainer around 20 or less years ago and fought Lance etc after he had been beaten by Red and Blue.

also you kanto didnt had a champion before blue. you cant just put yourself as champion. means kukui must have had challenged him before red and blue and failed since lance claims to have never been bested in rby and frlg.

Her fucking Archeops would kill nearly everythinh on Lance's team alone. Everything else is going down to Aggron and Lapras, or her two dragons that are faster than Dragonite.

Also, Wallace has the least versatile team.

No, he was older. He says at one point that he went out there to study moves but ended up challenging the League. So he was already a professor, or at least in whatever form of higher education you need to become a professor in this nonsensical world.
