the transformation shouldnt even be called ash-greninja. i guess it sort of looks like him to an extent, but when ash goes to the ninja village and first learns about a special greninja in the anime, the legendary greninja is transformed like "ash-greninja". and thats in the legend of the ninja village, the reason the ruling family in the village raise greninja of their own. its annoying that they call it ash-greninja because im pretty sure ash saw the depiction of the legendary greninja, and even if he didnt we should know about it, but it gets named after him because wow it gets red and black on its head so it must have transformed to specifically look like its trainer! it feels like either everybody forgot that episode or dont even know it exists and just spew out bullshit about the battle bond greninja

But the XY manga is over? I know old characters do return sometimes but that would mean Battle Bond would need some continuation in the games aswell because Ash doesnt exist in the manga verse so Ash Greninja wont be in the manga

Well it became a game-event thing. Y's Croaky was always a solo frog. Y rarely actually issued it any commands and it evolved both times on it's own to save others.

It evolved the first time to save Y from having her head cut off and it evolved to a Greninja to splash the entire team + Green and Diantha to tell them to stay cautious.

Y rarely actually did anything with her Greninja.

Volume 5 Scanlation is in the works.
I have my Volume 6, but I haven't debinded it yet. Scanning isn't an issue, but having a redrawer would be nice since this last volume has a ton of thought text on images and a lot of page spreads.

The anime arc was absolute garbage (at least it had a good ending), and in the games is pure special snowflake bullshit that should've never happened.

If by "two fanbases" you mean Chesnaught and Delphox, I hate them both. Greninja is the only good Kalos starter, but I can't get behind Ash-Greninja

She returned back to Vaniville to continue being a Sky Trainer. Now that her bullies have become her BFFs, she's living a peaceful life.

X has also improved and I think she's just casually waiting on him to make the move/confession.

Tierno is the lead of some dancing group.
Shauna is a Furfrou Cutter.
Trevor is Sycamore's new assistant because Sina and Dexio left to investigate the Zygarde stuff in SM.
X is leaving to Shalour (I think) to be initiated as a proper successor because Korrina nagged him.
Y lives in Vaniville as her school is there.

The Pokemon franchise has always had odd cases like this. For example, Surfing Pikachu only exists because the makers of the TCG thought it would be cute to release a card of Pikachu on a surfboard. Since then, it's found its way into nearly every corner of the franchise at one point or another. Ash-Greninja isn't the first Pokemon variation that didn't come from the games.

Him being the implied creator of the Rotom Dex is cool unlike the games where it's a reminder of how shitty they were in Gen 6. Honestly, the manga chapters were the only way I could bring myself to go back to something XY related.

Really? Did it just end with them beating the final villain and the arc ending on a happy, if quick and shallow, note?

The amount of butthurt the volume release must have generated sounds amazing. It's a shame I wasn't keeping up with the manga then. Still haven't gone through BW or anything but the ORAS chapter after HGSS, really.
