It's not that hard.
When I first got to mount Hokulani I luckily ran into a beldum (didn't even know you could find them there)
It was one level too high to learn bullet punch after evolving, so I bred a few more beldum with it and trained one of them so I can use it on my team.
Took me maybe 20 minutes

I caught a female and evolved it and everything. It's good but I don't like the design. I caught a male I plan to level up. I gain most of my xp through wild battles. You could also park it in poke pelagio if you don't care about your pokemon.

Salandit is my favorite mon design wise from this gen
If you really want I can trade you a level 35 salazle I have from filling my dex. or almost any other pokemon I have from filling my dex.

Took my lil dude all the way to the E4 and beyond. Hoaloha was the first pokemon I bumped into at the volcano park, timid with OKish IVs and everything. He wasn't as strong as most of my other pokemon. Even with eviolite, he had a tough time taking hits. But he was a cornerstone of my team nonetheless.

Hoaloha is Hawaiian for friend btw
