What was /vp/'s reaction when these were announced instead of Pokemon Grey? Also, how about when RSE remakes ended up not happening in generation 5?

BW2 is Pokemon Gray though. You could say its Gray+ because it has everything Gray would have and more than Crystal or Platinum ever got

I remember being in the stream for the Smash episode
I really thought it would be Gray, or even Hoenn

And then they revealed it
There was a slight moment where i was filled with doubt, thinking it was a joke, or that i was dreaming or something.
And then i saw all the fags commenting in the stream''s IRC. "what the fuck" most of them said. I just couldn't help it, i laughed
And then /vp/ was filled with similar stuff
If you could imagine doomsday rioters in the streets, that's what it felt like
And i just sat back and laughed at them, no longer caring about the new games at all

Eventually though, that was what convinced me to buy Black, as i had been putting it off to buy Gray when that released

Some people wanted Grey but in the end everyone realized they were a sequel and the hype returned

Hoenn in gen 5 was wanted only by hoennbabies. When it didnt happened, people shitposted and started making fun of them

So basically mostly everyone here went into panic mode bc the pattern had been broken after so long? Did it take a while for people to realize "Oh, this is pretty much Pokemon Grey since Kyurem is on the cover (partially), but they're just making it into two games", or did it take until later news updates for that idea to come to them?

The idea did come up after a short while, as far as i remember
People had all agreed that Kyurem was the focus before the game released, but they were still busy fighting over if a sequel is a good or bad idea
Even after the release, some held the idea that it was a terrible concept only done for extra cashgrab (which it kind of was, just not terrible)
