My problem here is that how everyone is treating this like only one world existed before the creation of the weapon. That the second world only came to be because of the weapon. The difference was caused by the weapon. Nothing suggests that before it, there was only one world.
Like shown in pic related, why is everyone assuming that the weapon created the world, rather than assuming the weapon is what caused differences in the worlds.
