The only reason I brought up video games and music was because of a total lack of genuinely bad shit that happened on a global scale this year. I also got my masters this year and lack a entry job getting like 90k a year, with a lot of possibilities for promotion. I took a trip to Europe with my wife and 8 lifelong friends, I got to see so much of the beautiful architecture of Al-Andalus and spend time with my wife's family in Brittany. I think I'm doing alright for a man born to an extremely poor family in El Salvador, yet even with all that, some of the best things this year have been video games, because they're fun, and I play them with family and friends.
I guess some people are just doomed to be miserable, because they're often to really enjoy the little things, and they can only focus on the tragedy. Sure I lost 2 lifelong friends (one being my dog Ginger) and a aunt that was a like a second mother, but I'm still here, and enjoying life is all I can really do.
