>>31153859I dunno, man. SM isn't as good in story as BW (do note BW is the sole pokemon from the mainline I haven't played yet) but it's the only game since BW that made me feel something aside the Wally battle in victory road of ORAS.
Story felt rushed Lusamine goes to the wormhole, but the game in itself has not much I could complain. Elite 4 and champion Kukui were nice battles, and so was totem Lurantis. The whole multiple copies of legendaries and ultra beasts was nice too.
Like, I am going to play a pokemon game for gameplay first and I'm already not expecting any real difficulty or story since I grew. But SM actually gave me something of both. And I know gamefreak can't just raise the difficulty due to younger audiences, I struggled a lot against Cynthia when I was a child, I imagine a game made for my age would be nearly unbeatable to them.
