OKAY SO sun and moon have been out for a while now, it's 2017, what's the most efficient method for pumping out competitive pokemon? What's the best way to EV train? Where is it? How long does it take? What about IVs? Are these bottle caps I've been hearing about worth the time and effort? What about legends? Can competitive-ready legends be obtained with these processes?

I've just made it to the 4th island myself and I wanna start thinking about making competitive mon. Are people injecting yet? If so, fuck this whole thread, someone inject mon for me

If you want to do one pokemon then just chain. It takes 7 chains to fully train.

But you have to admit, not everyone can play every hour of the day, so the pelago islands can fully train 18 pokemon in one stat in 15 hours.

Eh, I don't want to hack muh 3ds tho. That's why I said about someone else injecting for me. If it was as simple as it was in XY just injecting via QR code, or injecting through GTS then I'd do it myself.

Ah right, didn't watch the video after I saw Homebrew. So it's like a temp homebrew? That's cool tho, might give it a try then. People in comments saying their saves getting fucked tho/corrupted. At least when saving inside a pokemon center. Has this been fixed?

Peeps got their saves corrupted because they didn't read / listen carefully enough. Use the newest JKSM, backup the save, then export / edit / import to your heart's content.

JKSM has an option to "export" your save to the SD card from the cart. From there you place the SD in your computer, edit it with PKhex (remember to "export to main" in pkhex - saves what you did) and then just import the save in JKSM to the cart. If you fucked up and somehow corrupted your save - no issue here, just use the backup save you did earlier and import it back.

injection as per usual

chaining via SOS, takes about 10 minutes maybe to get a stat maxed (for the whole team too, exp share GOAT)

Only for legendaries, event mons and things with shit IVs you have a sentimental attachment to for some reason. Now you just need to reset legends for hidden power (synchronize takes care of nature)

And yes injection was a thing from before the game was even officially released.

I hear you man, my time in this game is most well spent trying out new ideas, new builds and new teams. I'll be fucked if I have to breed and train for 100s of hours just to try out one of my 50 ideas. I understand people like to play differently but what I dont understand is that condescending attitude towards injecting - the effect is the same, you just dont spend the next 100 hours trying to dig a hole to China with your tauros, but you get to spend those hours doing what you want to do with the game.
