Pretty much. Starting with gen 5, GF just didn't know what to do anymore. That explains why we haven't gotten a quality game in such a long time.

The framerate drops in the 3DS games are annoying but at least it doesn't take a century to drain an HP bar.

The real mistake with Pokemon was rushing Gen 6 out the door with no good closer game just so they could have a new gen (which ended up being an obvious beta for a Switch game) on anniversary

You must obviously be underage because the DP was one of the most hyped times to be a Pokemon fan since Pokemania

Also DP was the 2nd highest selling gen behind Gen 1

It was a high note
Everybody had a DS and everybody had diamond and pearl (along with nintendogs)
