Why was this considered good? Never went back to PWT after you were required to participate in it for the story. Same thing with PokeStar Studios.

Only pyramid and factory, the rest where gimmicks at best, Castle was a sweet grinding spot though.

PWT theme based teams make it feel more awesome, also shorter tournaments vs most facilities being grind fests.

Instead we got battle tree which is a joke and actually manahed to be eve worse than regular tower clones like Subway or Maison.

Thats probably the biggest mistake GF ever made in the games period

Sure Gen 6 and 7 do have some cool features (amie, dexnav, soaring, customization, pokeride, pelago) but they're mostly gimmicky stuff while PWT, Frontier or stuf like White Threehollow was the actual meat
