There are Pokémon that could be retconned into sound type. Sound and vibration do have a lot of interesting properties, and real animals use it too, certainly more so than fire or electricity. The same cannot be said for light. Fairy type is the de facto light type. Lightfags get hung up on the fact that there is no light/dark dynamic, when in fact dark is simply the "evil" type in Japan, so a benevolent, fairy type creature is the obvious counter, as was fighting, which could be interpreted as the "heroic" type. As a side note, I think we may never get a dark/fairy type, given that they would probably view that as an oxymoron, like how we still don't have a Grass/Fire. How do you make something malevolent and benevolent?
