I used an imprison smeargel with selfdestruct, earth power, and skill swap. Imprison stops sploding, skill swap shows witch ones have galvanize and gives them sturdy(because you will definately get that from non ha geodudes), earth power brings then to 1 hp due to their new sturdy ability. Just throw ball and good to go.

Same way you would be checking for the abilities with any Pokemon. Same as that galvanize Geo you want...

If you beat the game you can get a porygon with trace, if you mean checking in battle for right one, otherwise just mass catch... Never bad for pelago numbers
