not sure desu. all i know is that since we have the confirmation of marshadow being tradeable through wondertrade, it would be great if its method of creation could be passed around so we can distribute them to more people

Looking at its stats, there's something odd there.

None of its IVs are perfect. As a legendary, you'd expect it to have at least three.

Another point is that the OT is the same as the guy who traded it to him. (Not that it means much, given how event mon this gen seem to adopt the player's OT).

Finally, it's exactly level 5, meaning it was probably 'distributed' as that level.

My guess it it involves a wondercard hack.

Done some playing around.

Firstly, no Ribbon mons can be wonder traded. This block occurs as soon as you try to select it. (Implying it's internal.)

Secondly, we can wonder trade the Magearna if we remove the ribbon from it, without changing anything else.

Thirdly, when trying to trade Marshadow without a ribbon, it seems to run a check against the pokemon with an online database of available pokemon and rejects based on that.

Fourthly, fairly blatantly hacked mons aren't rejected at either stage. (e.g. Magearna w/o ribbon, or a Torkoal met via 'fateful encounter.)

I wonder how he did it. I'm sure it's possible for someone like Smealum to do, but if a random can do it too it probably means I've overlooked something.
