Genuinely curious, it seems like /vp/s standards for what is "good taste" is directly related to the popularity of the poke.
EX: what is Garchomp and Lucario were not loved by most people, they seem like pretty solid concepts and designs. Hell, Lucario is actually pretty damn cool, it's just pandered to death and is a favorite of furries.
So essentially, /vp/ is filled with hipsters in denial about being hipsters. They are advanced hipsters, what normie hipsters want to imitate.
