Mainly just waiting for the gen 1 imports as I figure they'll have their HA. I don't do PVP and already got all the tree stamps so the only reason I have to import my gen 6 mons is to breed ball combinations only possible in SM with hidden abilities only available in previous games.

A new generation allows the company to rebalance pokemon for better or worse, so you obviously cant send mons from Gen 7 to 6 the same way you cant send Gen 5 to 4
Ex: Gengar now has Cursed body instead of Levitate in Gen 7

That is true. What I meant though is that I'm raising the shiny pokemon I have in Omega Ruby for Hyper Training later. Many of the ones I got need better IVs but this training method can fix them. Only issue is that it's a bitch trying to raise pokemon to level 100 in SM so I'm just going to focus on levels in ORAS for now and worry about EV training later.

Im okay with no Nat Dex since it cuts time away from picking what pokemon to put in a game, strategically placing their spawns, and what trainer's pokemon they have plus movesets.

Gen 2 had no abilities, no alternate forms, had the same I.V system (hyper training will fug things up from going from gen 7 to 6) as gen 1 with shit like genders being based on it so they didn't have to worry about it getting lost. It's a lot more complicated now.

What's different about the IVs other than hyper training which unless I'm mistaken, is just temporary, in that its original ivs are saved not replaced.

They probably don't want to give an exact date because they don't want to fuck up and not meet the date. That way, unless they can't do it before February, which is fairly unlikely as this is only a relatively large update, we can't say that they fucked up.
