I haven't played B2W2 so I can't compare him to Hugh, but I like him more than everyone else save maybe Blue just out of nostalgia. The big issue with Gladion is he doesn't get enough screentime, and that also made him storming Aether with you weaker than it could have been because it doesn't feel like he has any reason to put so much faith in you and Hau.
>>31292468Blue is an asshole. He's not as bad as Gary, and he's still obviously friends with Red, it's just kids being assholes to one another in the way kids are. He's impatient when getting his starter, specifically goes for the Pokemon better than yours, getting you to pick first so he gets the opportunity, gloats when he wins and blames his Pokemon when he loses, tries to keep you from getting a map, etc.
He's not fucking satan, but he was an obnoxious kid. RBY is his learning experience and he obviously grows afterwards, even if he's still very prideful in his later appearances.
