Setting aside the fact that Ash greninja is a dumb concept and related to the worst trainer in history, which do you prefer using? Ash Greninja? Or protean Geninja?

I rather use protean though. It's a bit less prediction and thinking when using it compared to Ash-greninja and is no risk/high reward instead of low risk/very high reward like Ash-greninja.

I still prefer Protean because of its versatility and larger movepool. Plus Ash-Greninja is a pain to transform at times, especially if Greninja fails to score a KO and gets knocked out itself.

If Ash-Greninja gets access to move tutor moves (like Gunk Shot in Gen 6), then I might make the switch. Until then, Protean all the way.
