Xenophilia is weird, humans are weird, just roll with it, its not like you're ever gonna harm anybody since pokemon not only aren't real, but would kill you with ease if you tried anything nasty without consent. I mean, even pidgeys can summon hurricanes and rattatas can bite through steel.
