If you want to handle Steel types, just U-Turn to a Steel type counter. Have you forgotten that your also using 5 pokemon in your party? It loss of power is so not worth it.
BTW I find Leafeon a better Z-Dig user. SD access, recovery, and Baton Pass ensures its always going to be a team player.
