The whole point of it is creating a 0 win condition for the opponent.
When your opponent can't damage shedninja, when all of your opponent Pokémon are on lopunny return kill range with hazard offense and none can outspeed, when your opponent can't break the regenerator core or you just volt switch your win con the game is over.
Forfeiting can save up to 4-20 turns for both players, sometimes it is just like that. There is absolutely no gain in going through the ohko fest or the switching festival of a guy killing his team with your hazards, sometimes I wish people forfeited more, it saves time when I play trapstall, quick pass or hazard offense
