That's not fair, anon. Some people were dropped on their heads as kids, or their parents drank, or they're just not very bright.

I honestly think they picked the two best gens to do megas of - it's disappoint we won't get any more, particularly gen 2, but if I had to pick two, these are the ones I would have picked. Having gen 3/4/5 megas concurrently is also going to lead to 2/3 of the fire starters being BTFO.

Blaziken is actually the one that got fighting type 'just because' because both Infernape and Emboar are references to Journey to the West. Infernape especially is the best candidate for fighting type because it's character is an ancient archetype.

Plus they're hardly the bootleg versions when Venusaur and Blaziken are both ugly as fuck whereas Torterra and Infernape look great.

Yes, they are. The tree is bigger since its still primarily a grass type. The spike mountains are just there for the world turtle theme and for the secondary ground type.

Except this isn't something like Garchomp where the spikes are just added in for little reason. Torterra is literally based on two animals with spikes (snapping turtles and ankylosaurs) and they make sense with his obvious world turtle theme.
