Which are the essential items to get from wild pokemon is SM? I got Leftovers and Thick Club for now. Also, does Compoundeyes work for SOS battles?

Yes, as long as Butterfree is actually at the front of the party.

Essential for what exactly?
Black Sludge you only get from Grimers I think
Metal Coats can be stolen off of Beldum and some other steel types
Quick Claw comes from Meowth.

Metal coats from skarmory or Magnemite. For either one, set up stealth rock then just thief everything that pops up. The SR take effect when the new pokemon is called, so you won't have to deal with sturdy.

razor fangs from jangmo-o etc, for weavile. no easy method there, just set up a sub and SD. then go to town and try to OHKO all the ones that pop up. Mimikyu is probably best, given that it's immune to anything those dragons will throw at it.

Can't think of anything else pivotal atm. Maybe magma/electirizers, but that's just chaining magby/elekid. Use a fire/electric type so you don't deal with flame body/static.

If Butterfree (or whatever CE mon you're using) is the one on the field when they appear, then yes. I got plenty of Metal Coats doing this.

You can try getting a Black Sludge from Grimer. Razor Claws are an absolute pain to get, so having a couple of them handy wouldn't hurt.

Leftovers from muchlaxes (bring six thievers since its 100%, catch the 7th during a chain)
Black Sludge from Grimers (Scizor with FS and thief is good for this one)
Light Clay from Mudbray
Shed Shell From Doomy line
Razor Claw from Jango-o line
Metal Coat from Magnemites

Theres others for evolution items tho iirc
