I still don't know why gamefreak didn't just make them immune to Paralysis from specifically Electric moves. I know Glare and Stun Spore and shit aren't even used but it would at least give those moves some kind of novelty

Paralysis is linked with electricity (something about electric signals in muscles being blocked). Since Electric types control electricity freely, they can just cure any paralysis in seconds.
