Then, 4chan became "popular." The general internet populace became aware of it.
Retards swarmed. The dumb and the dullards took one look at this place and saw a hive of malcontent and badassery. A place where you could be anonymous and dodge the 'stupid rules' that most forums enforced to prevent the stupid parts of the internet from swarming and doing as they pleased.
They saw the trolls, and thought 'hey, I'm funny too! I like memes! I've found my new home!"
This is how 4chan became shit. The retards swarmed in by the dozen, and thought that they'd found a place full of people like them. Trolls became 'hurr I'm going to pretend to be retarded for attention and (you)s." Bait threads became "I'll post something absolutely retarded, and get people to reply to it! That'll be hilarious!"
Basically, this place is now overrun by mongoloids. Some are vicious misanthropes. Some are just plain retarded. Some are bored sociopaths. They're all mixed together, angry and confused at one another, and unable to see through the anonymity.
It's a fucking shitshow. "We" aren't anything anymore. It's us, those guys, then them, the other guys too, that one weird guy that just fucks with everyone. etc. Don't bother trying to understand it. Nobody does.
