I get that it's Hawaii but in reality Hawaiians and part Hawaiians are decreasing due to tourism, Also black people are a rare sight in Hawaii so why do Olivia and Kiawe exist?

There are a lotta dark skinned islanders.
Asian people have to intentionally whiten their skin.
Uh, the white people there don't embody the culture characteristically enough to base a whole theme around it.
We already got Kalos and Unova which were white AF.
White people are literally 1/5th in that graph.

I think they just wanted to have more inclusion of other races, which is fine. The vast majority of characters from Pokemon are white/asian, so it's cool that they're including other races now.
