In Alola, Raichu is part Psychic so if you are immune to Electric, then you must watch out for Psychic moves. Anyways a physical STAB is enough to kill a Raichu, even easier if it's STAB Super Effective.

That's because Hau has so few Pokemon. By the time you get to the point where he even has his Raichu he only has three Pokemon.

I had Gyarados, Magnemite holding Eviolite, Brionne, Boldore, Umbreon, and Trumbeak. Hau didn't stand a chance just like most trainers in this game because of One Pokemon Syndrome. Even now I am still facing trainers with only one Pokemon.

I fought Red because, despite not looking up their teams, I had great confidence that Red was going to use Pikachu, Snorlax, and the Gen 1 starters as opposed to whatever Blue stunts could pull

I refuse to catch route 1 shitmons so the second Hau battle almost got me because I chose trannyseal and wasn't expecting a Pichu with guaranteed Static para chance

I then realized that battle is hard-coded to only use status moves on you though

2/3 starters have a stab SE move against it. And every route 1-3 mon you get is either dark or magnemite. The best thing Hau had going for him was nobody thought his pokemon were any good

I prepared just in case because I heard some people say they got swept by Hau's Raichu. I had no idea that you could get an Eevee egg from the daycare but immediately knew what I would evolve my Eevee into once it was hatched.

Totem Vikavolt and Totem Lurantis almost destroyed me. Thank goodness for Gyarados, such an incredibly useful Pokemon. No wonder Magikarp is in every region, at least eventually.

That's laughable. The game is consistently easy throughout. The only time I got nervous was Hapu's trial, her Mudsdale was a motherfucker and BTFO 3 of my pogeys one after the other due to poor preparation.

Hau was piss-easy.

Hapu's Mudsdale got me bad because I used Bullet Seed on it thinking "oh, yeah, it's super effective, this'll work" without knowing about Stamina. Couldn't get a dent into it after that.

Didn't help that I barely changed my team up afterwards and I still had half my team as glass cannons thinking I'd still be fine. Glass cannons are not good when you handicap yourself to the point where your entire team becomes 5-10 levels under most trainers.
