They basically just skinned a Pikachu and threw its skin over a lump with eyes. On top of all that, it's a fucking Ghost/Fairy-Type, and you all know how I feel about Pokemon Sun and Moon's overuse of the Fairy Typing. This design just totally shits the bed when it comes to creativity... yet people are still showering it with affection. WHY?! WHAT IS THERE TO LOVE ABOUT THIS THING?! IF YOU WANT TO LOVE A PIKACHU-LIKE THING, THEN GO LOVE A FUCKING PIKACHU! We don't need this... this THING!
Literally the only thing people must like about this Pokemon is the fact that nobody loves it because it's super toxic and makes people sick and it hides under a Pikachu skin so it can be loved like Pikachu, so they feel the need to love it. Nintendo was probably sitting there thinking, "What shitty backstory can we think of for this awful design so that people will like it?" Seriously? There are so many toxin-spewing Pokemon that humans have probably become immune to it. This story is just fucking stupid. Nice try, but no.
Game Freak... you have really let me down with this upcoming Pokemon generation, but the thing I usually complain about... is this Pokemon. Just get rid of this Pokemon and act like it never existed. Please, for the sake of the Pokemon fandom and my sanity.
If I offended any of you Mimikyu fans out there, sorry. I'm allowed to have my opinions just as much as you're allowed to have yours, and in my opinion, Mimikyu is a terrible Pokemon in both design and Type.
