While it's not a foreign concept that people may rate a popular product they don't like with 1 star when a more unbiased review would be somewhere like 2 or 3 stars, Japanese users on Amazon are known to do troll ratings where they badly rate a game for the sake of, well, "the lulz" as we might have said 10 years ago.
It kinda hurts the whole review system as a whole because you don't know what to trust.
