Okay, after looking around a bit, I just found that retarded Game Theory video about it. Now I know why everyone is assuming that they didn't just remake RS, but gave us a new timeline where Megas exist everywhere, even though they don't, as shown in Origins and SM.

Mega Evolution exists in Origins universe, but not in Kanto. Mega Evolution doesn't exist in Alola, but it does in the universe. This is the same as it's always been. Mega Evolution was a Kalos only thing, but was added in ORAS later. Absolutely NOTHING suggests that we switched fucking universes.
