31. Hidden abilities are allowed as long as they can be legitimately obtained. However, no matter what the circumstance, the use of Moody is banned.
32. All Legendary Pokemon, Guardian deities (AKA the Tapus), and Ultra Beasts are banned. Furthermore, the following Pokemon are banned from use:
a) Aegislash
B) Wobbuffet and/or Wynaut
c) Greninja
d) Blaziken
e) Unown
33. All battles will be conducted at open level 50 with Quick Link.
34. Each battle will have a time limit of 20 minutes (disregarding the in-game timer). At 15 minutes in the battle, the head of the Pokemon Tournament Rules Commission has the right to check the progress of your battle. This rule will be used if there are time constraints.
35. All rules may be subject to change with or without notice.

A) The following Mega evolutions are banned from the tournament as they cannot be legitimately obtained in Sun and Moon as of the time of the rules' writing: Aggron, Altaria, Ampharos, Audino, Banette, Beedrill, Blaziken, Camerupt, Diancie, Gallade,
Gardevoir, Heracross, Houndoom, Latias, Latios, Lopunny, Manectric, Mawile, Medicham, Mewtwo (X&Y), Pidgeot, Steelix, Sceptile, Swampert, Tyranitar: All banned for being unobtainable.
B) The following Mega Evolutions are available in Sun and Moon, but are still banned from the tournament for various reasons:
Gengar
Kangaskhan
Lucario
Sableye
Salamence
C) All other Mega Evolutions are permissible
37. Use of Z-Moves is permitted
38. The deliberate use of paralysis and flinching together, aka "Paraflinch" is banned.
39. Deliberate creation of infinite battle situations (ie Slowbro with Recycle, Block, Heal Pulse and Slack Off) will result in disqualification.
40. The use of Swagger is banned.
41. The abilities Shadow Tag and Arena Trap are banned.
42. Baton Pass cannot be used to pass any increased speed stat.
