You get hints to it from the people around Hano resort as well as a much bigger notice in the demo

It's on Akala Island. It looks like it was supposed to be part of the Hano resort but you can't get to it. You can still see it on the world map.

Because the league was built in advance and at the time Hapu's grandfather is RIP with no Kahuna so they needed a replacement so they chose the richest man's daughter

She was the former Island Champion of the OLD Alola standard. When you're Island Champion, it's mostly a title and you don't really have to do much since she wasn't a Kahuna.

She was mostly interested in traveling the world to play golf since that was her real passion. When Kukui built his League, he considered Kahili to be a fine representative of Alola's finest trainers so he begged her to go off her tour and come back home. She didn't think too highly of the idea but did it so he'd get off her back about it.

Once you beat her she warms up to the idea of sticking around more.

So yeah, maybe she wasn't as established as Acerola or Hala but she didn't REALLY come out of nowhere. At the same time, it's kind of shitty she gets discredited as a character for pretty much showing up as any other Elite Four character and yet being held to a higher standard of being established than most of them.

Maybe try not mashing A for those textboxes, OP.
