I imagine something like GSC, that literally improved everything over the previous version.

At this point, I think it would be something like XY, but with nearly all pokemon catch-able in a postgame region.

Every important character was likeable in some way and the story was interesting. In SM only like 3 characters were acceptable, the rest were boring or annoying. If you can't even make your characters likeable or your story memorable then there's something wrong.

M3 definitely is better in that regard, in my opinion as a game as a whole too, but SM had some pretty amusing dialouge and characters.

Its baby steps but I think GF is getting better.
