Learn to read. They could STILL charge for the services, but at the very least, have the Nat. Dex available for free in the app itself so the app at least functions with something, even if the service to deposit and anything else is locked. Instead, they kept it alongside the services and again, simply force locks you without having neither unless you pay for your annual fee. Otherwise, without paying anything, the app is simply occupying space in your 3DS.

It's making you pay for the National Dex, even though it could simply be free while the rest remains locked for purchasing purposes and have it register the non-Alolan pokemon in your Sun/Moon save so you can keep track of what you have or not, without relying on the withdraw/deposit system the Poke Bank itself has.

There is no National Dex in SM. Deposited 'mons not in the Alola Dex neither get counted (aside from total number in your boxes/Mohn) nor get entries anywhere.

Probably, but the service requires its own NNID.
If you have a pre-existing Bank account with your Pokémon on it, you need to use that NNID to access them again.

No. It's entirely one-way, and once you send a Gen VI Pokémon to VII it can never go back.

Bank might have actually been worth the jewing if they had two-way compatibility between Gens for the first time since Gen 1 and 2, but Game Freak had to take the lazy way because they know people, some of them in this thread, will defend it.

If you have used it at least once before, like the free trial for instance, you can access the boxes as much as you want without needing to pay the sub. The best part is that the Dex syncs up regardless so you can use it even without a sub,

Which is a considerably better alternative to buying a second system and several games which may be anything from $80 to $200 for something you're going to use once,

The only reason they don't appreciate it is because they've been conditioned to expect transfers to be free. It's that conditioning that makes them feel Bank isn't worth it, when in reality, the way Bank makes everything easier (you can store mons from multiple games in one spot) using servers costs actual money. Again, they can't grasp this concept because they allowed themselves to be conditioned by Game Freak's generosity in the past.

They basically say "Ugh why can't everything be free" instead of say, being happy to support a developer who doesn't treat them like shit.

It's strange that this happened come to thing of it because they've only technically been free once and that was from gen 3 to 4 because you could use one system to do it.
1 to 2 and 4 to 5 both required a second system with the former also needing the link cable.

And even with the justification of using their friend's system they could still use their friend's bank nowadays.

The only way I think they could get away with it per month were if they gave away free shit like more legendary pokemon, battle points, and bundles of rare pokeballs like the G/S/C ones. I wouldn't do mega stones cause that would be stupid and everyone would complain about them holding megastone hostage or some shit.

Gamefreak could have easily made an app that stores pokemon onto the sd card instead of in the cloud. It'd be functionally the same thing, but there would be no need to put in the effort to run the bank servers, and all they would have to do is update it for new games. Instead they charge us money. only 5 dollars a year or not, you can bet your ass that it takes way less than that to keep the servers going, especially when you consider they've been keeping the gts both operational and free this entire time.

Pokebank is just a cashgrab and you all know it.

I still use dittos if I don't have a nature in a specific egg group or if I already have egg moves on the parent and they just need some IVs higher. poketransfer made getting high IV dittos easier and it won't take long for there to be enough 5 or 6 IV dittos for there to be little difference between injected and non injected dittos other than the GB icon which can just be added to the injected ones

TL;DR I don't give a shit about dittos being mostly injected, I just prefer to use dittos that I got on my own for that reason
